  • General geographic region (country/city level only)

This data is completely anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. It helps us understand how to improve the tool. No note content is ever included in this data.

Your notes are stored using the Web Storage API (LocalStorage) built into your browser. This means:

  • Notes are saved on your device only
  • We have zero access to your note content
  • Notes are cleared if you clear your browser's site data
  • Notes do not sync between devices automatically

The only exception is the optional "Share Note" feature, which encodes your note text in a URL fragment (#). This data is not sent to our servers but may be visible in your browser history.

NotepadEditor.com is a general-purpose writing tool suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from any users, this tool is safe for use by students of all ages.

9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
